Orthopedic M&A activity was robust in 2006 with ten transactions accounting for $13 billion in total disclosed deal value. The orthopedic market is comprised of a number of diverse segments, each with a unique market size and growth opportunity. This diversity is illustrated in the seven deals with estimated latest twelve month (“LTM”) revenue multiples ranging from 2.2x – 24x.
