Recognitions
Plante & Moran has been named one of FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” the past 14 consecutive years. The firm was also cited as one of 18 “Great Companies for Millennials” by HRE magazine.
For the second consecutive year, Leadership Development magazine named Plante & Moran to its annual list of the Top 100 Leadership Development Programs. We ranked first in the “small-to-midsize organizations” and “large consulting groups” categories.
Community Involvement
At Plante & Moran the ‘We Care’ attitude extends to the community as well. Each year, the Plante & Moran Cleveland, Ohio, office selects local charities to support with ongoing fundraising and volunteer efforts.
Our office currently provides volunteer and financial support to two local Cleveland charities, the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Cleveland Food Bank. Throughout the year we hold a number of fundraising events including $5 dress-down Fridays and office ice cream sales. In addition to our fundraising efforts, our staff volunteer by contributing time at the Cleveland Food Bank, and providing and serving dinner at the local Ronald McDonald House.
In 2007 the Cleveland office raised more than $6,000.00 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Cleveland office made a wish come true for a local 17-year-old, who had recently been diagnosed with leukemia. The funds raised provided an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii for him and his family.
Sustainability
All of us at Plante & Moran have long prided ourselves on being responsible corporate and community citizens, so it’s only natural that we adopt an even stronger environmentally friendly and sustainable approach going forward. We’ve made significant strides in the areas of building design and furnishings, energy efficiency, paper conservation, and environmental awareness/waste reduction. Here are just a few of the initiatives currently in place:
- Each staff has work tools that allow remote access and document sharing from different locations. This has reduced gas consumption and provided greater flexibility while improving collaboration.
- We’re increasing our use of recycled paper products, including our firm letterhead and new firm brochure. We also post facts around the office about paper consumption and ways to reduce our carbon footprint; facts are updated monthly.
- We recycle all cans, bottles, office paper, cardboard, paperboard, and batteries.
- We developed a Holiday Gift Guide that included green, organic, and sustainable alternatives for gifts.
